Trevor (1994, US) dir. Peggy Rajski

★★☆☆☆

Having the protagonist narrate his diary, effectively opened the audience up to the young boy's life and got us on his side. The problem was that once the conflict was introduced, it never presented a palpable threat. A blandness overtook the potential for true insight into this boy's struggle. The emotional journey, though naturally a resonant one, soon became too predictable.
