One Day (2001, US) dir. Michel Gondry

A supremely silly yet interesting enough premise that unfortunately left it too late to start exploring its underlying ideas. The film relied far too heavily on the toilet humour. The creativity behind the filmmaking team is evident but this felt more than a bit lazy. Anyway - who cares? A couple of years later, the director will go on to direct 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'.
